Where's any pc reference to our native american brethren who originally settled this area before the colonists declared manifest destiny?
Monacan is from an Algonquian word signifying "digging stick," or "spade." Essentially, we "bury" our opponents. Also called "Rahowacah." (See any link there to "Roanoke?")
The one downside is that it sounds like "mannequin."
